Mario Compendium, also named the Super Mario Compendium, was founded on April 11, 2025 by Gstar. It's a wiki about the Mario franchise and related media that uses the GNU Free Documentation License (which we also like to call the Gamer's Free Documentation License).
Since April 16, 2025, the Mario Compendium has been a recognized side-project of the Zelda Wiki on Fandom, in an effort to increase the availability of wikis that use the GNU Free Documentation License.
The wiki was hosted on SkyWiki for nearly a month, until May 4, 2025, when it has moved to independent hosting on MyWikis. It has utilized www.mariocompendium.com as its domain since a day later, May 5.
